Maxy's journey is one where nobody's the good guy. He started as the kind of guy in his 20s that has never actually had the courage to take parts or stand for what he wants, and as soon as someone (in this case, a fascinatingly weird someone) gave him the chance he dived into it face first, realizing very late that being destructive often leads to destructive consequences.

Biography

Young Maxy

Born in Ireland, he spent his childhood and teen years with his free-spirited, hardcore punk grandma Roisin, helping her at her pub during his spare time. Stubborn and a bit of a rebel during his teen years, he dropped out from highschool at 16 and committed to follow his grandma's footsteps, who supported him as long as he was happy and good at heart.

When Maxy was 20 years old grandma Roisin decided that managing the pub was becoming too much of a chore for her since she wanted the chance to "see the last bit of the world before she kicked the bucket", so she left the managment to a good friend of hers and quickly took off after gifting Maxy her dear vintage motorcycle.

Craving a bit of independence himself and wanting to avoid at all costs reconnection with his parents, kinda absent during his whole life and disappointed in him since he had dropped out of school, Maxy decided to move away from Ireland and to the city of Edenbanks, bringing with him some of his belongings and grandma Roisin's bike. He worked here and there to comfortably keep a steady income, and everything seemed to go quite well for him. Or so it seemed.

POWER AWAKENING

In Edenbanks, Maxy quickly developed a familiarity with the city's night life, even though his hotheadedness sometimes gave him a couple of minor issues. Nothing much, until a night in which he got into a big fight with a goon who unspecifiedly surpassed some limits (I still have to decide what happened but it was general bad behavior).

Brimming with anger and wanting to make justice, Maxy found himself engulfed with fire powers as he was trying to fight him and inadvertently burned the whole man to the ground.

Panicked, Maxy immediately fled from the scene and started reconsidering his whole situation, not wanting to put himself - or others - in unnecessary danger.

While searching for a more "hidden" way to support himself he came about Mod's power plant Arena and, after training his power and armor out of people's stares for a little while, took a shot at the chance of winning a match.

Given his previous experience in fights, decent strength and strategy he easily came out victorious, and didn't see why he wouldn't do it again.

MOD AND MAXY

After a couple of fights in the Arena where he seemed to kick a decent amount of ass, Maxy was noticed by none other than the one in charge of the place.

Mod offers him a steady job, first as a "favored" fighter (cheating involved :^D ) and, after some time and trust-building, as an intimidator for anyone that tried to mess with Mod's businesses.

Their collaboration lasts for close to a decade, ending abruptly when Mod, seemingly at the end of his days, forces Maxy to take care of him full-time and denies him to go back to his home for weeks.

After a brief confrontation, in which Maxy locks Mod in the safe/storage rooms of the power plant and leaves him to die, Maxy goes off to build himself a new life with the most amount of cash he could bring with him and the intention of closing this unfortunate chapter, never to think of it again.

Relationships

Maxy and Mod:

When Maxy meets Mod he finds him unlike anyone he'd never met before and is fascinated by his tendencies and mannerisms, which were going against every way he's behaved up until that moment.

When Mod offers Maxy a place at his side he is inhebriated by his new freedom, ignoring anything bad that comes from it, and Mod enables it every chance he can.

Their relationship quickly develops both physically and in feelings, and soon develops into textbook codependency: Mod gives Maxy the chance of expressing his negative feelings in a physical way while Mod gets basically one whole Maxy and his eager commitment to the job.

During their decade of working together Mod develops quite the obsessive preference for Maxy, which Maxy initially accepts with enthusiasm, favoring how they develop a bond in which "nobody is there for them as much as the other does", from both sides and in every sense. They both are extremely close and experimental.

After Mod falls too sick to be out to the public, he denies Maxy his dear sense of freedom to stay with him and care for him almost constantly, as in Mod's mind Maxy is the one and only that he can trust, and this is what ultimately determines their fall-off.

Maxy and Zima:

To Maxy, Zima is a constant but silent presence in the Power Plant. During the time where Mod isn't yet totally out of his mind the three periodically exchanged opinions about the facility's management, as Maxy was considered part of the team and when he wasn't messing around was capable of making pretty sensible arguments (mainly as an answer to Mod's brave but often exaggerated proposals), but nothing more than that.

Maxy will never properly know about Zima's demise.
